ACI Racing Weekend Imola: CIGTE FP3

The second ACI Racing Weekend visit to Imola in 2026 is underway at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, with the Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship among the headline categories on the schedule.

Saturday morning’s CIGTE FP3 provided plenty of action, with teams continuing to fine-tune their cars ahead of the competitive sessions later in the day.

Double TT Racing continued to impress, with the #62 consistently featuring near the sharp end and repeatedly setting some of the fastest laps of the session. Ebi Motors’ #44 also showed strong pace, while AKM Motorsport enjoyed another solid run, with both the #64 and #73 maintaining competitive performances.

The #3 Easy Race entry was another regular presence inside the top ten, underlining its consistency across the session. Meanwhile, the #50 Spirit of Race found additional speed during the final 20 minutes, climbing into P2 as the session intensified.

Track limits proved to be one of the main talking points once again. Several lap times were deleted for infringements at Turn 14, while the #16 received a final warning for track-limits abuse with over 40 minutes remaining. Multiple cars were also instructed to report to timekeeping at the end of the session, highlighting the close scrutiny being applied by race control.

There were also several interruptions; with a double-yellow flag being deployed at Turn 7 with 19 minutes remaining, followed by another double-yellow at Turn 14 with 13 minutes to go. Despite the disruptions, the field continued to push, with outright speed reaching impressive levels around Imola’s fast and technical layout.

The #107 Rossocorsa Racing car recorded a maximum speed of 282 km/h, while the #231 Krypton Motorsport entry went even further at 285 km/h.

At the other end of the order, #434 SR&R continued to struggle for outright pace, while Spirit of Race’s late-session improvement offered encouragement. Overall, there was a sense that the field still has another step to find before qualifying later on today, with the pace expected to sharpen considerably as teams move towards qualifying and race conditions.

With Double TT Racing setting the benchmark through much of FP3 and several teams showing flashes of strong pace, Saturday’s CIGTE action at Imola is shaping up to be a closely fought contest.
