Motorsport has always been about more than just what happens when the lights go out. It’s about the engineering behind the cars, the strategy behind every decision, the people who bring the sport to life, and the culture that exists beyond the track.

Lights Out With Liv has been created to bring all of those elements together in one place.

I'm Liv, a 22-year-old motorsport journalist, photographer, and content creator from London. Since June 2026, I have been sharing regular motorsport content across social media, covering the biggest updates from Formula One and the wider racing world through news, videos, race analysis, and technical breakdowns. This website marks the next step in that journey—a dedicated space to explore the sport in more depth.

My passion for motorsport extends beyond Formula One. While F1 remains my primary focus, I also follow the wider racing landscape, including Formula Academy, the feeder series that help shape the future of the sport, World Endurance Racing, and GT3 competition. Each category offers something unique—from the development of emerging talent and the technology behind endurance racing, to the variety of manufacturers and teams competing around the world.

In a world where motorsport is increasingly consumed through short-form content and fast-paced social media updates, I wanted to create a space that encourages people to slow down and engage with the stories behind the sport. While social media is an incredible tool for sharing moments instantly, sometimes it's valuable to take the time to read, understand, and explore a topic in more depth. Lights Out With Liv will be a place where fans can step away from the constant scroll, discover new perspectives, and enjoy motorsport beyond just the headlines.

The aim of Lights Out With Liv is simple: to make motorsport more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for fans at every level. Alongside this, I intend to celebrate motorsport in its entirety, highlighting the stories and moments across different disciplines, not just the ones at the top of the ladder. Formula One is an incredibly technical sport, and while that complexity is what makes it fascinating, it can also feel overwhelming for new fans.

From explaining how a car’s aerodynamics influence performance, to understanding race strategy, upgrades, tyre choices, and the decisions made behind the scenes, my goal is to highlight the details that often decide the outcome of a race.

Alongside the technical side of motorsport, Lights Out With Liv will also explore the world surrounding racing. This includes paddock fashion, grid style, event coverage, photography, and the personalities that make the sport what it is. Motorsport is a community built around passion, and I want this platform to reflect every part of that.

Having entered the motorsport world myself, I understand how difficult it can sometimes feel to find your place—especially as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated space. One of the goals of Lights Out With Liv is to help create a welcoming community where fans can connect, learn, and share their enthusiasm for racing.
